The State Council meeting approved an industry support plan for the logistics industry noting that it is an integration of transport, warehousing, freight forwarders and information industries. It supports significant employment and has effects on promoting production and stimulating consumption.

The country must accelerate the development of modern logistics, build modern logistics service systems and use logistics services to promote the development of other industries.

  • Actively expand logistics market demand. Promote interactive development between logistics enterprises and production and commercial businesses. Promote the socialization and professionalism of logistics services.
  • It is necessary to speed up industry consolidation with corporate mergers and reorganizations. Build up a pool of internationally competitive, large-scale modern logistics enterprises with a high level of service.
  • Promote energy, mineral resources, automotive, agricultural, pharmaceutical and other key areas of logistics development. Accelerate the development of international logistics and bonded logistics.
  • Strengthen the logistics infrastructure. Enhance the standardization and information level of logistics.

The meeting called on various localities and departments to strengthen their organization and coordination; to deepen the logistics management system; to improve policies, laws and regulation systems; to increase input in multi-channel; to speed up the logistics personnel training; and to promote the stable and rapid development of the logistics industry.
