GLM Introduction:


The Global Logistics Management (GLM) certification is an internationally recognized certification for management-level logistics industry professionals.

ASTL recognizes that due to the rapid rate of economic development in China, there has been massive growth of the logistics industry and need for skilled logistics professionals. There is a strong demand for a high-quality logistics training program with a balance between theory and practice which emphasizes practical operational management skills and international best practices.

ASTL has partnered with leading American companies to develop this training and certification program specifically for China. This program offers the designation of GLM to candidates who demonstrate their understanding of the fundamentals of the profession through the successful completion of the fundamental component, as well as one elective module.

The fundamental component consists of five modules to provide the participant with sound knowledge of modern logistics management. The modules cover the topics of:
  • Logistics and Supply Chain management
  • International logistics
  • Transportation management
  • Operations Management
  • Inventory & Warehousing Management
Upon completion of the fundamental modules, the participant may choose one optional module which best suits the individuals career path. The optional modules include:
  • Logistics Information Technology
  • Transportation network planning and design
  • Logistics Outsourcing
  • Dangerous Goods Transportation
  • Cold Chain Logistics

The goal of GLM is to develop people working in logistics into logistics industry professionals.
