Mr. Steve Hawks and Mr. Chung Tam visited China Ports & Harbours Association

Mr. Steve Hawks, Board of Directors of ASTL and Mr. Chung Tam, Chief Representative of ASTL-China meet with Cao Zhongxi, Deputy Managing Director General of China Ports & Harbours Association and Wang Lihai, Deputy Secretary-General of China Ports & Harbours Association in Shanghai. Mr. Cao introduced the ways that dangerous goods was produced, transported, managed in China, as well as a number of problems to Mr. Hawks, they would like to cooperate more with ASTL-China to perform the training for personnel who work in dangerous goods and ports. Mr. Hawks also introduced the ways of manufacturing, transporting, emergency control and so on in the U.S., how the training for ports personnel was performed, operated and what kind of training we offer, ASTL-China would like to cooperate more with China Ports & Harbours Association to create a standard training platform for personnel.

They both agreed that the training was vital for personnel who involved in dangerous goods industry, especially for manufacturing, they would like to cooperate more with each other to penetrate the training to more specific aspects.
