Mr. Chung Tam Speaks at 2009 China-Henan (International) Logistics Development Peak Forum

Mr. Chung Tam, Chief Representative of American Society of Transportation and Logistics (ASTL) presented at the 2009 China-Henan (International) Logistics Development Peak Forum on January 8-9th.

Mr. Tam¡¯s presentation ¡°The impact of the global financial crisis on the U.S. logistics industry¡± focused on three areas, the current state of the U.S. logistics sector, DHL¡¯s withdraw from the U.S. market and the key success factors for logistics companies in this economic environment. His goal was to provide the audience with the latest information about the U.S. logistics industry to help them understand and respond to the effects of the financial turmoil.

The forum was attended by senior government representatives and businessmen of Henan province. The main theme of the forum was turning ¡°Crisis¡± into ¡°Opportunity¡±, how to respond and succeed in the current global economic crisis. Speakers included international representatives from U.S., Germany and Hong Kong logistics associations, as well as representatives from Chinese logistics enterprises and associations.
