American Society of Transportation and Logistics (AST&L)

AST&L is a professional organization founded in 1946 by a group of industry leaders to insure a high level of professionalism and promote continuing education in the field of transportation and logistics.

AST&L's mission is to facilitate education and certification in the fields of transportation, logistics, and supply chain management. AST&L’s membership of shippers, carriers, educators, consultants and thirdparty logistics individuals are dedicated to continuing education and are committed to raising the professional standards in the industry.

In 2002, AST&L affiliated with The National Industrial Transportation League (NITL) to enhance the education component for the organization and its members.

The National Industrial Transportation League (NITL)

The National Industrial Transportation League was established in 1907 to represent shippers in their dealings with various regulatory bodies. The League has long been recognized as a leader in developing and formulating freight policies over all transportation modes. Both domestically and internationally, the League is respected and is looked to as a reliable and credible resource in understanding how new initiatives will impact the freight industry. Through its standing committees and Board of Directors our members are the driving forces in shaping freight transportation policy today and will continue to do so well into tomorrow.

Our diverse membership includes transportation decision makers, suppliers, intermediaries as well as a nucleus of individuals dedicated to moving commerce both in the U.S. and abroad. As a result, the League is one of the largest professional freight transportation associations in the United States. The National Industrial Transportation League is now 'The Voice of the Freight Transportation Industry.’

China Communications and Transportation Association (CCTA)

Established in 1982, CCTA is sponsored by National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), Ministry of Railway (MOR), Ministry of Communications (MOC), and General Administration of Civil Aviation of China. CCTA has approximately 2,000 corporate members, 74 national professional associations and sub-branches nationwide.

CCTA acts as advisor and consultant to both government and business. CCTA strives to promote the development, reform and technical advancement in the transport, postal service and telecommunication sectors. CCTA also protects the legal rights of the transport, postal service and telecommunication industries as well as its members.

China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT)

Established in May 1952, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) comprises VIPS, enterprises and organizations representing the economic and trade sectors in China. It is the most important and the largest institution for the promotion of foreign trade in China.

The aims of the CCPIT are to operate and promote foreign trade, to use foreign investment, to introduce advanced foreign technologies, to conduct activities of Sino-foreign economic and technological cooperation in various forms, to promote the development of economic and trade relations between China and other countries and regions around the world, and to promote the mutual understanding and friendship between China and peoples and economic and trade circles of all nations around the world, in line with law and government policies of the People’s Republic of China.

CCPIT admits new members from among enterprises in all parts of China and promotes trade through its functions of information consultation, exhibition, legal assistance, etc.
